St George’s Church, Barbourne

Description

Saint George’s Parish Church is a friendly, worshipping community with a warm welcome for everyone. The Church is available for weddings and baptisms.

Both the church and the adjoining Magdalene Room (the church hall, which opens onto our quiet garden) are available for hire as venues.

The Magdalene Room is a large, flexible hall space with kitchen and toilets.  It has a capacity of 100 and is well-used by the church and community throughout the week. Regular bookings include: pilates, yoga, mother and baby, art class, Worcester Young Voices, ball room and line dancing, Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra rehearsals, children’s ballet.  The weekend is available for Birthday and Christening parties. The church can also be booked as a venue.

Our Magdalene Room with newly installed (for Jan 2019) stainless steel kitchen is the perfect place to cater for your event. The hall (at around 14m x 8m) comfortably accommodates 100 people, with plenty of stackable seating and folding trestle tables available making it a very adaptable space. From the hall, double doors open to a secluded grassy garden area - perfect for summer! We have a wide variety of regular groups and community activities that take place so please do check out our website and Facebook page for more information.
