The Barn at St Nicholas Church

Description

The historic St. Nicholas Church and its neigbouring hall (known as ‘The Barn’) were renovated about 25 years ago as part of the development of Warndon Villages. The Barn has well-equipped and modern kitchen facilities including a cooker, fridge, water boiler, with plates, bowls, cups & crockery provided.

Re-opening of The Barn will be a gradual and cautious process: we are mindful that the Barn is a relatively small and enclosed space without mechanical ventilation systems. Therefore we have to be responsible and have made an informed decision to keep many of our safety procedures in place.

Some regular classes held at The Barn have restarted: please contact the group leaders directly for more details.

All hirers are responsible for ensuring safe attendee numbers, opening windows and sanitising touch surfaces.

QR codes will remain on display in the Barn as part of the Government’s Track and Trace app. We urge hirers and attendances to scan the QR code if they have the NHS Covid-19 app.

We hope to provide further information, in due course. Please be aware that the recent relaxations may be reversed. Bookings for regular / weekly classes are being given precedence over party bookings this year. At the moment, we feel that the Barn is only suitable for smaller parties or gatherings of fewer than 20 people, depending on activity.

We offer two rooms for hire: the main room and the upstairs room.
The rooms have separate entrances, with toilet facilities in the barn hallway shared.
All rooms at The Barn are comfortably heated in winter months with night-storage heating.

 

Downstairs Room (main room):

  • Capacity for up to 40 people (seated at table)
  • Includes private use of kitchen and small meeting room downstairs
  • Toilet facilities in barn hallway
  • Tables and chairs (adult and child-sized) included
  • Ideal for workshops/yoga or therapy classes etc, family parties, work training sessions, toddler groups… & much more
  • Cost: £14 per hour*
    (or £35 for 3 hours + £10 per additional hour)

* Discount on £14/hr rate is available for regular weekly hire of the main room in daytime (until 6pm)
