Worcester Community Trust runs 10 different projects across the City of Worcester and manages 6 community hubs including the Building Block in Warndon, working with those who need support improving health and wellbeing. Last year we provided opportunities and support to over 4500 people, enhancing skills, increasing confidence and bringing people together.
Our History
Worcester Community Trust was set up in 2010 to join together 3 charities and take on the management of Community Centres owned by Worcester City Council and to take on youth and community work on behalf of the City Council and Worcestershire County Council.
We have a successful track record of delivering a wide range of services to people in the areas of greatest deprivation in Worcester including
- Youth services
- Domestic abuse support
- Family support
- Play
- Lunch clubs and services for older people
- Support for the socially isolated
- Community work and events
- Construction skills
THE HORIZON HUB IS WELL EQUIPPED WITH:
- The Main Hall which can be partitioned into three separate rooms
- Meeting Room 1
- Meeting Room 2
- Large Kitchen
THE POSSIBILITES ARE ENDLESS
There is so much going on at Horizon in modern, comfortable and accessible rooms which were re-decorated in March 2018.
Previous bookings have been for:
- Business Meetings, Conference & Events
- Training Days
- Film Screening Events
- Children’s Parties
- Pre-Wedding Celebrations
There is parking and easy access from a wide, open foyer, making this venue great for small intimate affairs or large numbers of guests.
The Horizon Hub was used as a location for Channel 4’s TV Show “Four in a Bed” in November 2017, full details are on our Blog Page.
You can hire out the rooms individually, alternatively, the whole centre can be exclusively booked.
Parking at The Horizon Hub: There is limited Free parking at The Horizon Hub and we can normally cater for most users, however if you are unable to park there is a public car park approximately 300 metres away from the Hub in Tallow Hill. Walking Access is via Stanley Road and Hill Street.
