A Very Warm Welcome to St Mark in the Cherry Orchard Church

St Mark’s, with its angular brick structure but warm and friendly interior, has been the centre of Christian outreach to this community since almost the turn of the century. We, the present members of the Church family, realise our debt to those of an earlier generation who had the foresight and enterprise to build a Church here and to those, both ordained and lay, who have nurtured and sustained its ministry over the years.

Everyone is welcome to visit St Mark in the Cherry Orchard Church, just off Bath Road in Orchard Street; there is an adjoining car park.  Services are on a Sunday 9.30 to 11am (service 9.30 – 10.30am) or Wednesday 10am – 11am (service 10 – 10.30am)  Refreshments after services

The church hall, measuring 30 - 50ft approx., is available for private hire.  If you would like to look round the venue, please get in touch with Val (01905 358637) or Jan (01905 351392) or use contact form on the web site for more information.  It is well equipped for up to 72 people and the hire charge includes heat & light plus use of kitchen (& contents) and, weather permitting, the garden.  Children’s parties generally take place at weekends and the hall is usually available from 12.30pm on a Saturday and from 10.45pm on a Sunday.  Other days/times are available during school holidays.  For those who have hearing impediments, the hall has been fitted with a hearing loop and Bluetooth.  If you are thinking of organising a group Afternoon Tea, we even have china cups, etc. and teapots that we can loan to you to create an authentic event and in the past, the hall has hosted Christmas and New Year parties.

There is a full list of hall hirers on the web site; these include ways to keep fit, uniform groups, dog training, dance, etc.

Car parking available and there is a ramp into church and a gentle slope via the bottom of the car park through a gate to the hall.  If transport is a problem and you would like to attend any event in Church or the hall, please, please get in touch with either me or Val because, with enough notice, I am sure that lifts can be organise
